Course Load

A full load for each semester is a minimum of 12 credit hours. This includes participation credit in sports, music, and drama. The traditional full-time tuition rate will be charged for the appropriate credit hour range listed below. Four credits are considered full-time for Interterm.

The following GPA parameters will guide registration. Incoming freshmen and transfer students will be capped at 16 hours unless approved for additional hours.

Enrollment Options by Resident GPA

This is based on a student’s previous semester cumulative resident GPA (i.e., if registering during the fall semester, the previous spring semester GPA is used; if registering during the spring semester, the previous fall semester GPA is used).

GPA 1.99 or lower – max of 13 hours (or 14 if required to take TC 102)
GPA 2.0 – 2.49 – max of 16 hours
GPA 2.5 – 3.29 – max of 18 hours
GPA 3.3 – 3.6 – max of 20 hours
GPA 3.7 or higher – no cap

Tabor College students can access a list of pre-approved transfer courses on College Consortium. These transfer and consortial courses have been pre-approved by Tabor College for students to request registration. Students must click the link, sign up for an account using their Tabor College student email, verify their Tabor College student email, and register for pre-approved courses. Please note that all registrations are dependent on Tabor College approval on a student-by-student basis.
