In a world where:
… Empathy seems to be a thing of the past,
… Division has become part of our culture
… Decisions are made through fear rather than faith and logic.
Every day we are confronted with decisions that can have a lasting impact on our lives. I decided to attend Tabor based on a coach’s promise. This decision turned out to be one of the most impactful decisions I have made. Tabor not only prepared me for the life of a student-athlete, but it prepared me for a purpose-filled life based on integrity, accountability, empathy, and faith.
I needed:
… A home away from home, to learn how to integrate
… My faith with my studies, better understand my purpose
… What it takes to become a servant-leader
Being from the Caribbean, I was a long way from home. I needed a community where I would feel welcomed, appreciated, and challenged. Tabors community provided that and so much more. Tabor challenged me academically and spiritually and helped align my ambitions and career goals with my purpose. I developed meaningful friendships, found mentors, and my faith grew immensely through those relationships.
Tabor provided:
… A comprehensive education
… The importance of being a servant leader
… The true meaning of friendship, family, and stewardship.
As a student-athlete, I transferred to Tabor College will little to no expectations. Professors challenged me individually to be the best version of myself and taught me ways to serve and lead others. The Tabor community provides a family atmosphere where you feel welcomed, respected, and honored. The Christ-centered education I received from Tabor allowed me to excel in my profession and stand out among my peers in all aspects of life. I am truly blessed to have attended Tabor College.
