Landon Huslig

Founder
Wichita Life
Wichita, Kan.

March 27, 2025

Landon and Candace Huslig founded Wichita Life in 2017 to highlight what they love about their city. Wichita Life started as just a simple Instagram account, but year by year, it has grown into other social media platforms, blogs, podcasts, talk shows, email newsletters, job boards, and much more.

Wichita Life has accumulated over 100,000 followers across social media and tens of thousands of email newsletter subscribers. It has become one of the go-to sources for news and events in the Wichita area.

What started as a simple passion project has grown into a full digital media platform and a real business. The email newsletter puts a spin on the legacy news business, strips it of staleness, and breathes new life into what is otherwise a dying industry of local news.
