Tabor College sets records for incoming freshman GPA, first-time freshmen and graduate enrollment

HILLSBORO, Kan.— For the third time in four years, Tabor College broke its record for incoming freshmen GPA (3.52). It is also the fourth-straight year of incoming GPAs at 3.40 or higher, demonstrating Tabor’s commitment to student academic performance in recruiting and retention. Additionally, Tabor topped its record of first-time freshmen (183, set in 2021) with 193 this fall.

One hundred sixteen students enrolled in graduate & online courses, representing a new record and 41% increase from fall 2024. That is now three terms of 100 or more graduate & online students since spring 2024.

Tabor also saw tremendous growth in undergraduate enrollment, with 567 students on campus and 14% increase from fall 2024. With 59 in dual-credit courses, the college reached 742 students across all programs, marking a 19% increase from the previous year. Fall-to-fall retention of 78 percent also ties the record that was set in fall 2024.

Tabor’s on-campus and graduate & online enrollment hails from 38 states and 34 countries.

“These historic numbers confirm that students desire and thrive in Tabor’s decidedly Christian community,” said President David Janzen (g’90), Ph.D. “I am so impressed with the new students the Lord has brought to campus, adding to an outstanding campus culture and trusting our staff to guide them as they fulfill God’s calling in their education.”
