Tabor College alumna Alison Nikkel, a first-grade teacher at Hesston Elementary School USD 460, has been being recognized as a 2020-21 Kansas Horizon educator.
This Kansas State Department of Education award program identifies and recognizes representatives of excellent teaching in the elementary and secondary classrooms of the state. The mission of the KSDE program is to recognize exemplary first-year teachers who perform in a way that distinguishes them as outstanding.
“Tabor is proud of Alison for meeting criteria to be honored as a recipient of the Kansas Horizon award,” said Lisa Moore, chair of Tabor’s Teacher Education Department. “She truly stands out as amongst our brightest and best.”
