Porsha Zweifel (SR, Lindsborg, Kan.) and Samantha Saunders (SR, Lindsborg, Kan.) were recognized as Tabor College’s 2025 Kansas Teacher of Promise nominees. Both set to graduate in May 2026, Zweifel is set to student-teach in Hays in the spring, while Saunders is currently student-teaching in Valley Center.
“The education faculty is incredibly proud of our teacher education students,” said Lisa Moore, M.Ed., chair of education. “Narrowing down the nominations to only two recipients is difficult. We are proud of Sammie and Porsha for both representing Tabor College with passion as they change the lives of children.
