Emma Heide (cs) and Regan (James, g’22) Lopez were recognized as Tabor College’s 2023 Kansas Teacher of Promise Award nominees.
Heide is student-teaching at Pray Woodman Elementary in Wichita, Kan., and Lopez is teaching at William Allen White Elementary School in Emporia, Kan.
“As pre-serve teachers, Emma and Regan exemplified professionalism in their lesson planning, teaching delivery, and commitment to education,” the Tabor Teacher Education Department said. “We are incredibly proud of them for choosing a career in education, allowing them to impact children through future generations.”
