Pioneer History Subject of Lifelong Learning

Heritage Center Michael HookHILLSBORO, Kan. – Tabor College’s Lifelong Learning program will host Michael Hook at 9:45 a.m., Friday March 16, in the Richert Auditorium of the Shari Flaming Center for the Arts.

Hook is the director of the Dickinson County Heritage Center and will speak about the pioneer movement into the Kansas area.

He will address the history of the cattle drives, agriculture development, early settlers, telephony industry and how carousel manufacturing separates itself from all other counties in Kansas.

The public is welcome to attend all Lifelong Learning sessions and can register at the door for $5. Attendees may enjoy lunch in the Tabor College cafeteria after the session at the discounted price of $4.
