HILLSBORO, Kan.– Tabor College will officially dedicate Jost Hall, its newest residence hall Friday, July 28, at 4:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend the ceremony, and an open house will follow. The ceremony will be held on the hall’s south patio, on the corner of Adams and B Street.
The 86-bed facility, which will house female students in 2023-24, is a significant milestone in the history of Tabor’s residence life. It is the largest hall on campus since the Townhouses (78 beds) were completed in 2007. With over $6 million given toward the housing addition, including gifts from the J.E. & L.E. Mabee and Sunderland Foundations, the project is nearing the finish line.
“The dedication of Jost Hall is the celebration of God’s faithfulness and the donors who have believed in our vision for Tabor residence life,” President David Janzen, Ph.D., said. “This housing will be an invaluable tool in shaping and molding the lives of current and future generations of students.”
Attendees will hear from Dr. Janzen, Susan Franz Koslowsky, chair of Tabor’s board of directors, and Ron Braun, vice president of philanthropy. It will also coincide with the USMB Southern District Pastors’ Gathering and Biennial Convention that the college will host July 27-29.
