CMBS Welcomes Annual Archival Intern

Andrew Brown, CMBS intern 2016HILLSBORO, Kan. – The Center for Mennonite Brethren Studies at Tabor College welcomed Andrew Brown as the recipient of the MB Historical Commission’s summer archival internship for 2016. Brown, a May graduate of Canadian Mennonite University, Winnipeg. Manitoba with a degree in history and political studies, spent a week at CMBS as part of a binational five-week internship program.

Director Peggy Goertzen said, “We are delighted with this opportunity to showcase our unique Mennonite culture and history here through our record collections, artifacts and historic sites.”

Goertzen has received an intern as part of this annual program for the past several years. CMBS is the resource center and archives for information about the Mennonite Brethren, Tabor College, and related subject areas. The Center at Tabor College was organized in response to the resolution adopted at the 1974 U.S. Conference at Henderson, Neb.
