Lifelong Learning session on September 4

 

Debbie McSweeney lives on a local six acre certified Bee Friendly Farm and is a Bee Advocate.HILLSBORO, Kan. – The first fall session for Lifelong Learning will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, September 4 in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center at Tabor College in Hillsboro.

Debbie McSweeney, a local bee farmer and co-chair for the Bee Friendly Farm Task Force in Washington D.C., will join us to discuss what is happening to the bee population and what we can do to help.

“If you like food and like flowers, then you need to come hear what is happening to the bees,” McSweeney said.

The public is welcome to attend all Lifelong Learning sessions and may register at the door. Fees are $5 per session, $15 per semester or $29 per couple. Attendees may enjoy lunch in the Tabor College cafeteria after the sessions at the discounted price of $4.
