Enrollment for 2015 Fall Semester

HILLSBORO, Kan. – Enrollment for Tabor College’s 2015 fall semester is 729 students, which includes a 35 percent increase in graduate students. Undergraduate enrollment includes 561 students in Hillsboro and 126 students at Tabor College in Wichita, as well as 42 graduate students.

Of the 561 undergraduates in Hillsboro, 150 are first-time freshman and 54 are transfer students for a total of 204 new students this year. Twenty-two students are attending part-time, 539 are full-time. Eleven local high school students are also taking classes.

“One of the great joys of serving at Tabor is seeing the students that God brings our way to influence and shape to be world changers,” Tabor College President Jules Glanzer said. “I am impressed with the quality and character of this year’s class.”

Vice President of Enrollment Management Rusty Allen said, “It is always a privilege to be a part of the hard work that goes into recruiting students. I especially appreciate the enrollment management staff and our coaches as they put a lot of time and energy into bringing new students to Tabor College. I believe God has once again honored our efforts and I look forward to seeing students grow during the coming year.”

Two years ago, Tabor College in Wichita had 11 students enrolled in graduate programs. This fall, TCW has 42 graduate students for an increased enrollment of 35 percent from a year ago.

“The increased enrollment numbers are a validation of the hard work done by the faculty members to constantly update our programs in response to the needs of both employers and students,” Brett Andrews, vice president of Tabor College in Wichita said.

Online enrollment, for programs offered via the Internet, has helped boost their enrollment numbers too.

“Our online programs have been expanded in response to our student body’s desire for more flexibility in course delivery,” Andrews added. “These new online degree programs offer students just that.”

“It is good to see our graduate programs becoming more attractive,” Glanzer added. “We are excited to have more students taking advantage of an online education.”
