Fall New Student Orientation
New student and parent orientation is coordinated by the Student Life office. Orientation welcomes new students to campus and includes getting to know other new students and student leaders, a service day, activities sponsored by Student Activities Board, registration, information sessions, a worship service and other activities to help new students become acclimated to being students at Tabor College. Orientation is held on the weekend before classes begin. Students and parents will receive specific information during the summer and when they arrive on campus.

Tabor College Freshman Orientation 2017
INCOMING FRESHMAN FALL ATHLETES
Friday, Aug. 11, 12:30-3:30 p.m.: Freshman fall athletes (football, volleyball, soccer and cross country) arrive on campus. Dinner is provided for students (families may purchase the meal to join them), followed by an opening session and family reception at President Glanzer’s home, while other students are involved in a campus activity.
Saturday, Aug. 12: Players will meet with their teams and also confirm their registration and do financial settlement. Parent orientation will take place that morning. Time to say goodbye to parents.
Sunday, Aug. 13: Morning worship service and team events
Monday-Friday, Aug. 14-18: Team practices
ALL OTHER INCOMING FRESHMAN
Friday, Aug. 18, 1:30-4:00 p.m.:
The rest of the Freshmen arrive on campus. Dinner is provided for students (families may purchase the meal to join them), followed by an opening session and family reception at President Glanzer’s home, while other students are involved in a campus activity with their mentor group.
Saturday, Aug. 19: All freshmen will participate in a service project with their mentor group. Parent orientation will take place that morning. After a dedication service in the afternoon it is time to say goodbye to parents. We will end the day with a hoedown.
Sunday, Aug. 20: Morning worship service and computer orientation in the afternoon, followed by a picnic with their mentor group.
Monday, Aug. 21: Freshmen who did not register the previous week will confirm their registration and do financial settlement, followed by a tour of campus to know where all your classrooms are. An outdoor dinner for all students will start off Welcome Week.
Monday-Saturday, Aug. 21-26: Welcome Week – Each evening a different activity is planned to help students get involved and acquainted with campus life.
Tuesday, Aug. 22: Fall classes begin
INCOMING TRANSFER STUDENTS: Arrival and check-in is Sunday, Aug. 20.
