HILLSBORO, Kan.— Tabor College has received a $200,000 grant for entrepreneurial programming from The Patterson Family Foundation. The funding will advance the Central Kansas Entrepreneurship Center at Tabor College by increasing staffing, expanding programming, enabling more mentoring, and fostering greater collaboration across campus, the Hillsboro community and the Central Kansas region.
With construction set to begin, the $12 million Business & Entrepreneurship Center (BEC) project will provide a home both for academics and the Central Kansas Entrepreneurship Center, fostering entrepreneurship from ideation and prototyping through education, inspiration and launching new enterprises.
“We are very excited for this timely and generous support from the Patterson Family Foundation,” said President David Janzen (g’90), Ph.D. “This gift enables and accelerates our vision for inspiring, equipping and mentoring entrepreneurs at Tabor College.”
This project is also part of the Next Century Campaign, a historic, $90 million fundraising initiative to support capital projects, scholarships & programs, and endowment growth. Tabor has raised over $36 million since 2021 and seeks to complete its goal by 2030.
