Tabor College Athletics Named a Champion of Character Institution

NAIA C of C LogoHILLSBORO, Kan. – The NAIA announced on Tuesday that Tabor College was selected as a Bronze Medal recipient in the Champions of Character program.

Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earned points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.

Kathy Busch, the NAIA Champions of Character Coordinator, stated “On behalf of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Champions of Character Committee and the National Office, I want to congratulate you on your institution being selected a 2015 -2016 Champions of Character Five-Star Institution. The Champions of Character program continues to grow and impact people throughout our nation as a result of the passion and commitment of NAIA member institutions such as yours.”

Nine members of the KCAC were recognized for this honor, including one gold medal recipient, 2 silver medal honorees, and 6 who received the bronze medal.
