Tabor Arts Hosts Scott Wichael January 17

Wichael Guest RecitalHILLSBORO, Kan. – Tabor Arts is pleased to host Scott Wichael for a guest recital at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17 in the Tabor College Chapel. The performance is the latest installment of the Tabor College Recital Series which offers Tabor and Hillsboro community members an opportunity to attend free performing arts events on campus.

A tenor, Wichael is known for his expressive voice and versatile stage presence. His repertoire ranges from Mozart to Floyd and includes roles such as Sanco Panza in “Man of La Mancha” and The Witch in “Hansel and Gretel.” Wichael has performed at the Lyric Opera in Kansas City, the Kansas City Metro Opera, the Asheville Lyric Opera, the Tulsa Opera and the Des Moines Metro Opera as well as in festivals throughout the United States.

“We are excited to bring Scott to Tabor to share his gifts,” said Brad Vogel director of Tabor’s music department. “He is an outstanding performer with a repertoire that will appeal to any audience. We hope the larger community comes to campus to enjoy an evening of music from this fantastic artist.”

The Tabor College Recital Series brings inspiring artists to share with the community as well as show students what possibilities exist beyond graduation. Wichael’s contribution will be the third of the series during the 2016-17 year.
