National Anthem Focus of Lifelong Learning

Debs McIlhennyHILLSBORO, Kan. – The upcoming Lifelong Learning program will feature Debs McIlhenny, a Wichita based attorney and singer/actor for the Wichita Bar Show, and is scheduled for, Friday, March 17, at 9:45 a.m., in the Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church Activity Center at 610 S. Main in Hillsboro.

McIlhenny speaks publicly on patriotic, inspirational, and constitutional issues; sings “The National Anthem” at various venues; and performs regularly with the all-volunteer Wichita Symphony Orchestra Chorus. She will be presenting her program entitled, “What Were Ya Thinkin’?: A Perspective on the National Anthem and the Inspiration for It”.

“History promises us a permanent record of the good that comes from human strife,” McIlhenny said. “Yet, seldom do we expect one to be as visible and inspiring, every day, as this one.”

Please note, due to the current campus construction, that the program location has changed for the remainder of the semester.

The public is welcome to attend all Lifelong Learning sessions and may register at the door for $5. Attendees may enjoy lunch in the Tabor College cafeteria after the session at the discounted price of $4.
