Lifelong Learning Hosts John Burchill

John Burchill Lifelong LearningHILLSBORO, Kan. – Tabor College’s Lifelong Learning Program will host author and criminal justice historian, John Burchill, at 9:45 a.m., Friday, April 6, in the Heritage Lobby of the Shari Flaming Center for the Arts.

Burchill will provide learners with looks into the early years of Kansas clergy and the colorful characters that made up our early faith communities.

He will go into depth as to why congregations met in butcher shops, saloons, dugouts, by the sides of rivers and how these rowdy affairs played a role in the lives of religious leaders in Kansas.

The public is welcome to attend all Lifelong Learning sessions and can register at the door for $5. Attendees may enjoy lunch in the Tabor College cafeteria after the session at the discounted price of $4.
