Dr. David S. Dockery, considered one of the outstanding leaders and senior statesmen in the world of Christian higher education, will explore the concept of a “Christian worldview” in a public presentation hosted by Tabor College at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 31, in Richert Auditorium within the Shari Flaming Center for the Arts.
His presentation, titled “Understanding a Christian Worldview,” is free to the public.
Dockery currently is president of Trinity International University in Deerfield, Ill., and has been a college president for 24 years. He has served as chair of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities as well as for the Consortium for Global Education.
An accomplished writer, Dockery has authored or edited more than 30 volumes and has contributed to more than 60 other books. He has been interviewed on several national media networks, including CNN, NBC, ABC, MSNBC and FOX.
The following day, Dockery will be speaking in campus gatherings, including a student chapel presentation titled, “Challenges of a Christian Worldview,” followed by a Q&A luncheon with invited guests representing Christian high schools located within 100 miles of the Tabor campus. He also will speak to the Tabor faculty on “Integrating a Christian Worldview.”
“As a decidedly Christian college that embraces a Christian worldview, we are honored to host Dr. Dockery and we look forward to be inspired by his wisdom and insight,” said Jules Glanzer, Tabor president.
