Handel's "Messiah" set for Nov. 21

Tabor's Handel's Messiah

The long-standing tradition of Handel’s “Messiah” returns to Tabor College this month.

The Tabor College Concert Choir will take the stage to perform the writing of George Frideric Handel. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. in the Richert Auditorium in the Shari Flaming Center of the Arts.

Alumni, community members, family and friends are invited to join the Tabor Concert Choir and participate in this year’s performance. Soloists for this year’s concert include Dr. Jamie Reimer Seaman, soprano; Robin Rives McAdoo, alto; Brian Stranghoner, tenor; David Martens, bass.

“We’re very excited to have our Tabor alumni and local community join us for this exciting performance,” Dr. Greg Zielke, arts director, said.

Rehearsals are currently scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 20 (2-5 p.m.) and Sunday, Nov. 21 (3-5 p.m.) in the Richert Auditorium. Optional rehearsals will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays in November in the choral room at 3 p.m.

There is no fee to participate and music will be provided if needed.
