Thanks to the generosity of the Tabor College community, an official groundbreaking for its newest student housing is set for Friday, May 6. The ceremony, scheduled for 11:30 a.m., will take place at its soon-to-be home. The large two-story duplex, which includes two residence halls, will sit on the corner of Adams and B Street.

The groundbreaking will be followed by a barbecue picnic at 12 p.m. on the north side of the Student Center. Both events are open to the public.

“We’re embarking on an exciting chapter in Tabor College history,” President David Janzen said. “God has blessed us with generous supporters who are helping build a new and inviting home for our students. Although the fundraising is not yet finished, we look forward to celebrating what God has done and continues to do through residential life at Tabor.”
