Frye Honored as Kyle Lecture Speaker

Associate Professor of Mathematics, Timothy FryeHILLSBORO, Kan. – Tabor College announces that Tim Frye will present this year’s Dr. Richard G. Kyle Faculty Lecture. Frye will speak on the topic, “Taking a Tour of Odd Graphs.” The lecture will take place in the Tabor College chapel at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, and is open to the public.

Frye will discuss research he did for a recent paper. He will go through a survey of some of the interesting mathematical concepts required for understanding. Through his career, Frye has discovered that many people do not know or understand what mathematicians do. His objective is to help give insight into this world.

“I have always enjoyed the lectures I’ve attended, and I’m just really looking forward to sharing my work with my colleagues,” Frye said.

The Dr. Richard G. Kyle Faculty Lecture Series is an annual event founded to encourage scholarship and to recognize the work of a Tabor College faculty member. Frye has been employed in Tabor’s mathematics department since 2008.
