Each year Forbes Magazine evaluates all private colleges and assigns a financial GPA and letter grade to them based upon nine financial categories. https://bit.ly/2FqlKjI  Most colleges with 500+ students are rated. Tabor College received a 2.97 financial GPA and a letter grade of B. This was the second year in a row that Tabor received a B grade from Forbes.

Tabor’s grade was the highest among all the Kansas colleges. The evaluation comes at a time when many of the nation’s institutions of higher education are in financial straits.

“It’s always helpful when external agencies affirm us.” said Tabor President Jules Glanzer. “We didn’t come up with this (evaluation), and we didn’t even know they were doing this. But it’s gratifying to see that a non-bias source looks at our financial position and determines we are relatively healthy. It also is gratifying that we lead the pack of Kansas independent colleges. We are thankful for the Lord’s blessings on us.”
