What do you love about Tabor?
I like that I am free to live out my identity as a child of God, servant of Jesus, and apostle/evangelist. I like that I get to recruit students to a place where they can encounter Jesus and be built up in who he is, who they are in him, and then be sent out both now and when they graduate to spread the gospel and build his kingdom.
Hobbies & Interests
My primary interest is Jesus, spreading the good news about him and seeing his loving and powerful rule and reign come, releasing his salvation, healing, provision, deliverance, justice, mercy, etc. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends. My primary hobbies are hunting and fishing.
I once bagged a quail by swinging the barrel of my shotgun at it as it flew by me.
My wife’s name is Carol. She is a passionate follower of Jesus and serves him as his missionary in Assaria, KS where we live, and in Salina, KS where she teaches English as a second language. We have three boys (Joel, Micah & Levi), two daughters-in-law (Jessica & Grace), and two grandchildren (Bree & Lucas). They are all a blessing from our awesome God!
I have an undergraduate degree from Grace University (formerly in Omaha, NE) and a Masters of Divinity from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul. However, the most important education I have is the education that has come from my relationship with Jesus.
My professional experience has included serving in several institutional churches and following Jesus as one set apart for the Gospel. I am currently following the call of Jesus as a covocational apostle/evangelist to help catalyze a disciple-making, kingdom-advancing movement in the western world so that the greater things of God can be poured out (John 14:12-14). My vocation at Tabor is that of recruiting students.
