Sept. 23, 2021
Tabor College has a total of 18 active cases on campus as of Thursday, Sept. 23.
Tabor College has followed its operational protocols of testing students with symptoms, isolating students who test positive, and conducting contact tracing and quarantining students who have been in contact with the positive cases. Isolated students are asked to do so at home. Those who are not able to isolate at home are required to isolate in college housing.
In preparation for Friday’s Inauguration of President David S. Janzen, the college has implemented vaccination guidelines or mandatory testing for any student participating in the dinner, ceremony, or reception. Each of these students is required to show a vaccination card or be tested the morning of the event.
“As has been stated numerous times this semester, I strongly encourage you to get vaccinated if you have not already,” Janzen said. “It protects you and is a blessing to others. Our prayers are with those who have COVID, that they would recover quickly, and with our entire community that we would love each other as Christ loves us.”
Tabor College is in regular communication with the Marion County Health Department and will announce any significant further changes at the appropriate time.
