HILLSBORO, Kan.— Three Tabor College students were awarded scholarships through the Kansas Independent College Association (KICA) Green & Gold Scholarships and the Maud Wyatt Recognition Scholarship.
KICA established the Maud Wyatt Recognition Scholarship to honor Maud Wyatt, whose generous bequest has supported the work of KICA and its institutions since 1961. The 21 recipients of member institutions are full-time, degree-seeking students on the cusp of graduation, and have each demonstrated excellence in academics, character, and integrity. Each will receive an award of $1,374.56.
Cason Chadd (JR, Owasso, Okla.) was selected as Tabor’s 2026 recipient of the Maud Wyatt Recognition Scholarship. Chadd is an Elementary Education major and carries a 3.61 GPA.
Established in 2022, the Green & Gold Scholarships were awarded to 27 students across the KICA.
Daysha Allison (JR, Oakley, Kan., 3.97 GPA) and Kaitlyn Drake (JR, Elsmore, Kan., 3.61 GPA) were recognized with $750 scholarships designated through their majors. Allison was awarded the Future Leaders in Education Scholarship, while Drake was recognized with Future Leaders in Arts.
