Wendell Loewen – Ministry Quest Director

Wendell comes to Ministry Quest with more than 20 years of ministry and teaching experience. His passion is to lead a new generation of Christian leaders into the brave new world of ministry by helping them understand what it means to lead with integrity and skill while following hard after Jesus.

He has led summer mission trips to Mexico with Youth Mission International and has served part-time as the District Youth Minister of the Southern District Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. Wendell regularly speaks in churches, to youth groups, and at camps, retreats and conferences and serves as a consultant to churches and schools in the area of adolescent culture. Wendell has co-chaired two National MB Youth Conventions. He has also written a book titled, Beyond Me: Grounding Youth Ministry in God’s Story.

Wendell earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Youth and Family Ministries from Fuller Theological Seminary (D.Min., ’05). He is a graduate of Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary (M.Div., ‘92); and Fresno Pacific University (B.A., ‘87).

Wendell and his wife Shelly live in Hillsboro, Kansas. They have three children: Taylor; Peyton; and Preston.
