David Faber to give lecture on April 7

Faber DavidHILLSBORO, Kan. – Tabor College philosophy professor David Faber will present this year’s Dr. Richard G. Kyle Faculty Lecture. The lecture will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7 in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center Lobby and is open to the public.

Faber will speak about C.S. Lewis’s book “Prince Caspian, Faith and Reason.”

Faber says, “I hope to show that Lewis’s novel provides helpful insight into questions that many college students and faculty grapple with. Is faith blind? Does being a Christian require me to give up, or at least suspend, the standards of evidence that I depend on in the rest of my life? Lewis challenges many of our presuppositions about both faith and reason.”

The Dr. Richard G. Kyle Faculty Lecture Series is an annual event founded to encourage scholarship and to recognize the work of a Tabor College faculty member.
