Students will elect one of three concentrations—biology, chemistry, biochemistry or mathematics. 25-26 hours of core courses must be completed, and when combined with each concentration’s requirements, students will spend 48-49 hours in the major.

NS 311 History of Mathematics/Science Survey/1
This course comprises an in-depth study of the history of topic in mathematics and or science and culminates in comprehensive research report. Prerequisite: MA203-G Junior Standing. Concurrent with enrollment in NS 319. Fall semester.
NS 319 Research Methods /0-1
Introduces the scientific process and methodology of scientific research/exploration for the development and participation in an independent laboratory research project. There will also be discussions about faith/science issues and ethics. Prerequisites: BI 110-G, and CH 112 and junior standing. half hour (.5) credit, Fall; half hour (.5) credit, Spring semester.
NS 420 Research Project
The biology project is a laboratory research experience designed for junior or senior majors in biology. Also requires oral and written presentations.
