The Tabor College Presidential Leadership Program is the largest and most selective scholarship award available to incoming freshmen Tabor students, valued at $17,000 per year.
The four-year, eight-semester program recognizes students who have been leaders in academics, school activities and communities during their high school career. Curriculum for the Scholars track involves eight leadership courses taught by President Jules Glanzer while the Fellows track features mentoring and leadership exposure experiences.
“As I look over society, I see a crying need for people who will step up and influence the world making it more as God intended it to be,” Glanzer. “I believe in this generation and the capacity for them to make the difference.”
Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for this prestigious scholarship: admittance to Tabor College, minimum high school GPA of 3.3, minimum and ACT composite score of 23 or a combined SAT critical reading/math score of 1070.
More information is available on the Tabor.edu website and the deadline for application is Oct. 7 at 5 p.m.
“We want students to apply that have a passion for leadership and show a capacity for influencing other people,” said Lee Waldron, director of admissions. “We look for skills and experience in a students application that provides support that they carry such traits.”
