A Century of Transformation, 1908-2008, a history of Tabor College, is on sale now!
The book tells the story of Tabor College from its founding until the present. It’s the story of God at work in the lives of so many people, from the first few with a vision for a Bible college in Hillsboro, to those who endured the closing of the college during the Great Depression, to the growth and energy of the current generation of faculty, staff and students, many of whom are here as second- or third-generation Bluejays.
Divided into four sections, with 248 pages, the book is co-authored by Peggy Goertzen, Director, Center for Mennonite Brethren Studies (1908-1931); Dr. Richard Kyle, Professor of History at Tabor College (1932-1956); Dr. Lynn Jost, Dean, Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, Fresno, Calif. (1957-1980); and David Peters, Coordinator, Special Collections, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla. (1981-2007). A DVD and CD will be included containing a complete set of Bluejay Annuals and recordings of choirs, bands and small-group music performances.
Listen to samples of the songs as well as a pdf of the first page of each chapter on the Hillsboro Free Press website.
