Director of Contemporary Christian Music

Description The Director of Contemporary Christian Music is a shared position between Tabor College and Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church. The Director is responsible for overseeing the worship ministry at Parkview MB Church and for leading Contemporary Christian Music ensembles at the Tabor College campus. Specific responsibilities include:

Musical/Worship abilities: • Proficiency in piano and/or guitar, with the ability to read both music and chord charts • Experience and skill in rehearsal leadership • Experience and proficiency in operating a sound board and projection media (Easy Worship, ProPresenter, etc.)

Leadership abilities: • Plan and lead weekly congregational worship at Parkview MB Church in cooperation with the lead pastor and other participants, including musicians and media team • Assist in the planning and implementation of unique worship experiences with modern, contemporary, and traditional styles of worship • Recruit and develop talent for worship ministries at both Parkview MB Church and Tabor College

Qualifications BA, BM, or BS required, MM or MA preferred.

Rank/Salary Commensurate with experience and rank.

Beginning Date Fall 2014.

Position Description:

This is a part-time position at our Wichita campus and/or online.

The School of Graduate & Professional seeks multiple adjunct faculty members who are in agreement with the College’s mission statement to teach courses in our online RN-BSN degree program. Must possess excellent oral, written, and teaching technology skills.

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree required; doctorate preferred in Nursing or Education, or appropriate related field.

Experience: Previous higher education teaching experience is required. Experience with LMS (Learning Management Systems) is also required; Blackboard and/or Moodle are preferred. Previous successful online teaching experience is a bonus.
