Biology Professor

Description:

Full-time, tenure-track rank open. The main responsibility is teaching undergraduates. Other responsibilities include conducting research with students, mentoring, advising, recruiting, committee service, and additional duties as assigned. The biology department has traditional, environmental, and secondary education biology degree options and intentionally uses active learning to engage students.

Qualifications:

A doctoral degree in biology or related field with preference toward ecology or environmental biology. Commitment to teaching and service in the context of a Christian liberal arts college is essential. A creative approach to innovation and program development highly desired.

Rank/Salary:

Negotiable.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychology

Description:

Primary duties include teaching, service, scholarship, and management (if serving as department chair). All duties are expressed in Tabor College Faculty Commitments. Faculty actively participate in recruitment and retention of students.

Description:

Primary duties include giving leadership to all institutional assessment initiatives. Faculty appointment will be made to the department aligned with teaching duties.

Qualifications:

Masters required, PhD preferred. Prior experience with institutional assessment required. Experience with AQIP and facilitating professional accreditation processes preferred. Commitment to teaching in the context of a Christian liberal arts college is essential.

Position Description:

This is a part-time position at our Wichita campus and/or online.

The School of Graduate & Professional seeks multiple adjunct faculty members who are in agreement with the College’s mission statement to teach courses in our online RN-BSN degree program. Must possess excellent oral, written, and teaching technology skills.

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree required; doctorate preferred in Nursing or Education, or appropriate related field.

Experience: Previous higher education teaching experience is required. Experience with LMS (Learning Management Systems) is also required; Blackboard and/or Moodle are preferred. Previous successful online teaching experience is a bonus.
