Hobbies and Interests

We live on a small, diversified family farming operation, so many of the “hobbies” include those activities. In additional to more traditional crop/cattle activities, we also have a herd of Boer Meat Goats. Our children are in 4-H so we keep busy with youth livestock shows. My children also participate in sports, thus I spend summers at the ball diamond cheering them on. I also love spending time in the kitchen. I have successfully entered a number of contests, including the Beef Cookoff at the Kansas State Fair. We have a garden, which I always have big hopes for. Maybe this will be the year that I actually can tomatoes and make salsa!

So far, what do you love about being part of Tabor?

I’m most looking forward to being a part of the Christian tradition that is part of the integral part of the fabric of Tabor College. I’m looking forward to being energized by the student body, and sharing the story of Tabor with friends, students and alumni.
