Centennial Plaza
Centennial Plaza Pavers Now On Sale
To mark the 100th anniversary of Tabor College, the circle lawn at the heart of the campus is being named Centennial Plaza and will be transformed into a garden of engraved pavestones and flowers. At the center of Centennial Plaza, the college has commissioned Sandra Storm, a world-renown artist and Tabor alumnus, to create an original sculpture entitled “Called to Serve,” which will be dedicated as a highlight of the Centennial Homecoming celebration on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2008. You are invited to participate in the creation of Centennial Plaza by adding engraved pavers in your own name, and to honor family members, professors, and friends.
“I can’t think of a more appropriate symbol for the first 100 years of Tabor College than a sculpture entitled “Called to Serve.” Its presence at the center of our campus will deliver a powerful message – that as we stand at the threshold of our second century, we are all “Called to Serve.” – Larry Nikkel, Past-President, Tabor College.
To learn how you can purchase pavers for placement in Centennial Plaza, download a brochure or call the Advancement Office at 620-947-3121 ext 1709.
